Révolution and the Partij van het Volk sign a coalition agreement for 2029 !

A national agreement to champion the citizens' initiative referendum, participatory democracy, and BelExit across the country.

The Révolution movement, led by its president Laurent LOUIS, and the Partij van het Volk (PVHV), led by its president Pap Hakobyan, have signed an electoral alliance protocol. Their aim is to defend shared priorities together at the national level and prepare a coordinated presence in the 2029 federal, regional and European elections.

This alliance enables Révolution to promote its ideas in Flanders with a political partner, while the Partij van het Volk (PVHV) joins a common initiative in Wallonia and Brussels. Both movements retain their identity, their structures and their freedom to take different positions on matters not covered by the protocol.

The people must take back power

The alliance’s priority is popular sovereignty. As a first step, the two partners want to introduce a citizens’ initiative referendum (RIC) in Belgium, allowing citizens to submit proposals to a binding popular vote.

In the longer term, their ambition is to replace the current representative democracy with a participatory democracy secured by blockchain technology. Citizens would be able to propose and vote on laws, as well as appoint and dismiss members of the government. The protocol sets the eventual disappearance of parliaments, political parties and career politicians as its goal, following an institutional transition to be developed with democratic and technical safeguards.

BelExit and new partnerships

Révolution and the Partij van het Volk (PVHV) support Belgium’s withdrawal from the European Union, known as BelExit, through a democratic process accompanied by a transition plan. They also wish to develop new economic, scientific, cultural and diplomatic partnerships with BRICS member countries.

The protocol also calls for the defence of Belgium’s Christian heritage and values, while respecting freedom of conscience and the equality of citizens before the law. At the same time, it reaches out to the country’s Muslims who, like other believers, want a Belgium that upholds clear and virtuous moral values. Reaching out to patriotic Belgian Muslims while defending our country’s Christian culture is the key to creating a happy and peaceful Belgium.

Both movements oppose compulsory sex education content in schools and favour education focused on respect, the protection of minors and the prevention of violence, with clear information for parents.

An electoral presence in all three regions

Looking ahead to 2029, Révolution will lead the alliance’s lists in Wallonia and the Partij van het Volk (PVHV) will lead them in Flanders. In Brussels, the partners will prepare joint bilingual lists wherever electoral rules allow. They also plan a joint bilingual approach to the European elections, in accordance with the applicable electoral colleges. The precise arrangements for the lists and candidates will be set out in supplementary agreements.

Laurent LOUIS: “We want to restore a happy Belgium”

“By signing an electoral alliance protocol with the Partij van het Volk, we are becoming a national movement whose main ideas will now be championed in both the north and the south of the country. Révolution now has an ally in Flanders to support the introduction of participatory democracy based on blockchain technology, but also to support Belgium’s withdrawal from the European Union, the famous BelExit. This electoral choice is unique in Belgium. I was determined that these ideas should be promoted nationally, rather than only within French-speaking dissident circles. Pap and I share common values, faith in God and a fierce determination to fight discrimination and racism, as well as the mechanisms that currently leave Belgians working only to pay their bills, without any positive prospects. Together with the Partij van het Volk, we want to restore a happy Belgium!”

Pap Hakobyan: “Politics in the service of the people”

“I do not believe in politics centred on power, titles or popularity. I believe in politics that serves the people. With the Partij van het Volk, the objective is clear: listen to citizens, dare to speak out against injustice and build the Belgium of tomorrow. That is why I am taking a new step by signing an electoral alliance protocol with Laurent LOUIS’s Révolution Movement. I want to build connections, bring people together and give a voice to those who have never been heard. Actions, not words; not politics for my own benefit, but a responsibility towards our society.”

Pap Hakobyan, President of the Partij van het Volk (PVHV)

The 2 movements remain independent. Their alliance rests on the priorities set out in the electoral alliance protocol and on a shared determination to give Belgians the power to decide their own future!
