The President of the Révolution movement
Responsibilities of the President of the Révolution movement:
- Coordination of national policy
- Setting strategic priorities
- Program development
- Supervision of local sections
- International policy matters
The leadership of the Révolution Movement is entrusted to Mr Laurent LOUIS acting as President of Révolution! The Presidency of the movement is appointed for an indefinite term.
The President establishes the movement's program based on the non-binding opinions and advice of the Restricted Political Bureau and the Extended Political Bureau. The guiding principle is listening to members. However, listening does not mean validating everything that comes from the grassroots... Each member must be able to accept that their opinion may not be taken into account. Each member must also understand that it is impossible for members of a national (or even international) political movement to always agree on all positions adopted by the leadership of Révolution.
The Honorary President
As co-founder of the Révolution movement with Laurent LOUIS, Laurence Kayser holds the position of Honorary President. This title is granted for life and also applies to all former Presidents of Révolution. The Honorary President is a source of inspiration for the movement and its leadership. They participate in the Restricted Political Bureau and the Extended Political Bureau.
The Secretary General
Appointed by the President for an indefinite period, the Secretary General of Révolution acts as a link between members, local officials, and the movement's leadership. Their role is to centralize and relay requests, wishes, questions, criticisms, and aspirations of all members and activists of Révolution to the Restricted Political Bureau and the presidency. Ms Nora Patteri holds the position of Secretary General.
The Restricted Political Bureau
The members of the Restricted Political Bureau are appointed by the President of the movement. The Restricted Political Bureau includes at least one member per province. These members are consulted for the development of the program and possible strategic changes. The opinions of the members of the Restricted Political Bureau are non-binding.
In the event of a vote within the Restricted Political Bureau, the principle of a simple majority shall apply.
The Extended Political Bureau
All VIP members are part of the Extended Political Bureau and are invited once a month to the Political Bureau meeting, either in person or via videoconference. Members of the Extended Political Bureau may give their opinion on the choices made by the President of the movement. The opinions of the members of the Extended Political Bureau are non-binding.
The Spokesperson
Only the designated representative may publicly commit Révolution.
As of today, Laurent LOUIS, in his capacity as President of Révolution, also serves as the official spokesperson and may speak on behalf of the Révolution movement. The same applies to the Honorary President, Laurence Kayser, in her capacity as co-founder of the movement.
The spokesperson is responsible for Révolution's communication. The spokesperson manages advertising campaigns and develops leaflets and visual materials. No document may be distributed by a member of Révolution on social media or elsewhere without the prior approval of the spokesperson, who guarantees the editorial line and the image conveyed by Révolution.
Confidentiality
Internal discussions are confidential and may not be disclosed unless authorized by the movement's leadership. Images from Political Bureau meetings broadcast via Telegram videoconference may under no circumstances be distributed. If photos or videos taken during meetings, events, or actions are to be shared by a member, this may only be done after authorization from the spokesperson.
Each member undertakes to remove from social media any video, image, photo, or publication at the express request of the President of Révolution or the Secretary General.
